Join us for a relaxed, hangover free walk exploring Black Moss Reservoirs and the Pendle Sculpture Trail, a unique circular route set beneath Pendle Hill near Barley.
This walk takes in peaceful reservoir paths, woodland tracks and open countryside, with sections of the Pendle Sculpture Trail hidden among the trees in Aitken Wood. Expect waterside views, forest paths and a few artistic surprises along the way, all adding to the character of this scenic and slightly magical route.
We’ll be walking at a steady, social pace, with time to chat, pause, and enjoy the surroundings. Perfect if you’re sober curious, cutting back, alcohol free, or just fancy a fresh start to your Saturday morning.
Walk details:
• Distance approx 6.5km
• Time around 3 hours
• Terrain includes hard core tracks, quiet lanes and field paths
• A steep hill on the Sculpture Trail loop
Getting there:
• Start point: Barley village car park
• Bus access available from Nelson to Clitheroe, with stops in Barley
What to bring:
• Comfortable walking shoes or trainers
• Weather appropriate layers
• Water and anything you like for after the walk
